Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions cover purchases, subscriptions and the contractual terms for CarbCheck. They apply together with our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. By purchasing or using a subscription you agree to them.

1. The agreement

This agreement is between you and CarbCheck. It takes effect when you start using the Service or purchase a subscription and continues until terminated as described below.

2. Subscriptions

CarbCheck Pro is offered as an auto-renewing subscription (e.g. monthly or annual). When you subscribe:

• The price and billing period are shown at the point of purchase and may vary by region and currency.
• Payment is charged to your Apple App Store or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase.
• Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends.
• Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends, at the then-current price.

3. Free trial

We may offer a free trial. Unless stated otherwise, the trial is available once per user. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, it may convert to a paid subscription at the applicable price. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited if you purchase a subscription before it ends.

4. Cancellation

You can cancel anytime from your App Store or Google Play account settings. Cancellation stops future renewals; you keep access until the end of the current paid period. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.

5. Refunds

Purchases are processed by Apple and Google, and refunds are handled under their respective policies. We do not separately collect payment and generally cannot issue refunds directly — please request refunds through the store you purchased from. Statutory rights that cannot be waived under applicable law remain unaffected.

6. Price changes

We may change subscription prices. Where required, we will give you advance notice and, where applicable, the chance to accept the new price before it applies to your renewal.

7. Entitlements

Subscription status and access (trial, active, expired) are managed via RevenueCat and your app store. Premium features are available only while your subscription is active.

8. Warranties & disclaimers

The Service and all data are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law, including as to accuracy of carbohydrate estimates. CarbCheck is not a medical device — see the disclaimer in our Terms of Use.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CarbCheck’s total liability arising out of or related to the Service or a subscription will not exceed the amount you paid in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses.

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify CarbCheck against claims arising from your misuse of the Service or breach of these terms, to the extent permitted by law.

11. Termination

We may suspend or end your access for breach of these terms or the Terms of Use. You may end the agreement by cancelling your subscription and deleting your account.

12. Governing law & severability

These terms are governed by the laws of Norway and subject to the jurisdiction of the Norwegian courts, unless mandatory local consumer law provides otherwise. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect.

13. Entire agreement & changes

These Terms & Conditions, together with the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy, form the entire agreement between you and CarbCheck for the Service. We may update them; continued use after changes take effect means you accept them.
