Delete Your Account

You can delete your CarbCheck account at any time, and you do not need our permission to do it. This page explains how to delete it from inside the app, how to request deletion if you no longer have the app installed, and exactly what gets removed.
Deletion is permanent. Once your account is deleted it cannot be restored, and your logs, lists and goal cannot be recovered. If you only want to stop paying, cancel your subscription in the App Store or Google Play instead — that leaves your account and data intact.
1. Delete from inside the app
This is the fastest way and takes effect immediately.
- Open CarbCheck and go to the More tab.
- Scroll down and tap Delete account.
- Confirm with your password.
Your account and its data are deleted straight away, and you are signed out on all of your devices.
2. Request deletion without the app
If you have already removed the app, or you cannot sign in, email support@carbcheck.no from the email address on your CarbCheck account and ask us to delete it.
We will verify that the request comes from the account owner and complete the deletion within 30 days. We will email you to confirm once it is done.
3. What is deleted
Deleting your account removes the personal data we hold about you, including:
- Your account details — name and email address;
- Your carb profile — the sex, age, height, weight, activity level and plan used to calculate your goal, and the goal itself;
- Your content — daily carb logs, shopping lists, notes and favorites;
- Your push notification token;
- Support requests and product feedback linked to your account.
4. What may be kept, and why
A small amount of information may be retained after deletion where the law requires it or where we have a legitimate need:
- Transaction and billing records, which we are required to keep for accounting and tax purposes. These are held by Apple, Google and RevenueCat as well as by us.
- Security and abuse-prevention logs, kept for a limited period.
Anything kept for these reasons is retained only for as long as required, and is not used to build a profile of you or to contact you.
5. Your subscription
Deleting your account ends your access to CarbCheck Pro, but it does not automatically cancel an auto-renewing subscription — those are managed by the app store, not by us. Cancel it separately:
- iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → CarbCheck → Cancel.
- Android: Google Play → your profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → CarbCheck → Cancel.
